After three years of construction, at the beginning of June, we successfully accomplished the signing of delivery and acceptance of project FB283 on behalf of her owners.

This 62-metre fast displacement full-custom motor yacht built by Benetti with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, under our project management and owner’s representation, has started her summer season on time and is now sailing in the Med.

We are beyond grateful to the owners and all those who took part in this project. This yacht is the outcome of the professional and productive teamwork between the builder’s and owner’s team that turned every challenge into a solution. And the result speaks for itself.

Involved in the development of the yacht from an early stage, as the owner’s representative and pre-purchase advisor, we supported the client by managing and coordinating the definition and development of the preliminary design and technical specification, as well as the negotiation and closing of the contract, along with the client’s legal advisor. During this phase, we expertly guided our client through the entire decision process. We ensured that his project vision was correctly translated into a comprehensive technical specification and that all his requirements were included in the yacht construction contract.

After the contract was signed, we managed and coordinated the entire construction process on behalf of the owner, protecting his interests and ensuring that the project was developed and built by the contract by monitoring the progress, supervising each construction stage and reporting the state of the project to the client.

The outbreak of the pandemic within a few weeks of the YCC closing added an extra challenge and complexity to the management of the build. We remotely managed the development of the executive project design and engineering through the Covid-19 lockdowns. Under these circumstances, we greatly appreciated the ability of the whole project team to quickly adapt and overcome the difficulties of the time and successfully deliver this phase on schedule. This was just the beginning of a very productive and collaborative cooperation between the builder’s and owner’s teams. It is thanks to this great collaboration and the synergies between the experiences of everyone involved that the FB283 is set to become a reference for Italian expertise in yacht building.

The project features naval architecture engineered by Van Oossanen Naval Architects who developed the hull lines to meet the owner’s speed requirements and a contemporary design by Giorgio M. Cassetta of Cassetta Yacht Designers who penned the exteriors and interiors providing the project with an elegant and modern look with luxury still understated details.
